Dubai Helishow - the biennial Helicopter Technology & Operations Exhibition took place 6th - 8th November 2012 at the Grand Stand, Meydan Hotel, Meydan Racecourse, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Dubai Helishow represents a unique opportunity for the international helicopter community to showcase their products, services and technologies covering the commercial, civil defense and military helicopter sectors. The Middle East represents an emerging lucrative market for this industry as demonstrated by the success of the 2010 show. Dubai Helishow 2012 will see the expansion of the Homeland Security Show, introduced at the last event, with the inclusion of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles alongside armored vehicles and other products and services aimed at protecting from external or internal threats. The Air Medical & Rescue sector of the show with its own designated area highlights the evolution and continuing growth within this industry.

Much attention is paid to the exhibition organizers, companies operating in the market for MRO of helicopters, as well as companies involved in the supply of spare parts and consumables. "Aero Technik" took part in the exhibition, presenting its partners a number of new proposals for the supply of spare parts and tool for ground support helicopters family Mi-8/17.The wide distribution of this type of helicopter operation in regions with different climatic conditions, including in areas with very hot climates, which include the Middle East region, makes high demands on the quality of supplied components.
